Rehoming

The re-homing service was launched at the shop so that pets that can no longer be looked after by their owners can be found new loving homes.

This service is to help people who have:

· Bought a pet in the past knowing nothing about the animals needs & they had not been given the correct education from the pet shop that sold them it, when they have realized what the animal does need, they cannot provide it.
· Bought a pet and then their circumstances have changed
· Have a pet but can no longer give the animal the care and attention it needs.

Little Beasties does not want to promote the impulse buying of pets with the attitude of “Well when I get bored of it I can get it re-homed” because that it not the attitude to have, we simply want to help people and their pets live happy lives.

If you feel you are one of the bullet points above, please don’t hesitate to contact us, and we will help you wherever we can. If you are interested in re-homing any of the animals below, or would like us to keep your details for further re-homes please contact us.

Please remember tortoises live for a long time so please think carefully before buying a tortoise.

Tessy

Tessy is a female red eared terrapin who is about 5 years old.
She is about 6 inches shell length & is in a healthy condition.
Tessy needs a semi aquatic fish tank (water with a land area)at least 4ft long by 2ft wide a basking light, uv light & filter.
Unfortunatly terrapins are bought the size of a 50p & grow much bigger so often end up out growing their home & being dummped in ponds or at rescue centers so if your thinking of getting a terrapin please do your research first.
Tessy was wanted by her owner but when her tank unfortunatly cracked they could not afford another one so brought her to me, this means Tessy cannot be rehomed with a tank.
For more information on keeping turtles or about Tessy please contact me.
**********Please note Tessy is currently at my house not in the shop*************

African Pygmy Dormice

Most people describe the African Dormouse as a small version of a squirrel. On average, they are four inches long with a bushy tail of two to four inches in length. They have cute little faces with black markings, big dark eyes and attentive little ears. They fur is grey and soft on the top and white on the underbelly. The advantage of their small size is that they don't take up much room, and can be kept comfortably in pairs or small groups in a typical 2ft aquarium. If properly cared for, the African Dormouse can live captivity for five or six years. These little critters are able to be handled but can be fast so cae must be taken.
For more information or to see the dormice pop in the shop or contact me.

Toby

Toby is a male Hahns Macaw who is 2 years old.

Toby is a tame bird who enjoys having his belly & under his wings tickled, he also enjoys climbing around on you when he is out of his cage.
It takes Toby about 2 weeks to get used to someone new so please note he wont be your best friend right away, he will need time.
Toby can say hello, good morning, toby, laugh & bark like a dog!
