for the animals, no better pet shop in the area in my opinion!

Our Pet Party Was Brilliant!
My son Toby is a big animal enthusiast, so we took the plunge for his 5th birthday and got him 2 guinea pigs to take care of. Mandy kitted us out with everything we needed and lots of great advice...so 'Nibbles' and 'Squeak' are settling in nicely.
As an extra treat we arranged a surprise 'pet party' for his birthday. Mandy arrived at our house Sunday morning, complete with all the pets I had requested and lots more.
The children loved seeing and having chance to hold the animals. Mandy was
great, starting off with the 'easy' pets and ending the hour with the tarantula! There was no pressure to hold the animals and she always gave the option for the children to say 'no' or just to have a little touch. The children were all put at ease and did have a hold of most pets.
Mandy also gave plenty of info and interesting stories about the animals in an informal way. The children were captivated and totally entertained for a good hour (brilliant as they were only 5 years!). The party was a great success, really memorable and parents appreciated the change from the usual 'bouncy castle' type affair.
Mandy was really professional, great with the kids and lovely to have around.

I have been using little beasties for 2 years now, the service has
always been reliable and it's really nice to see such an animal enthusiast
running the shop. Mandy has always been very helpful and has sold me some really
healthy animals that are still doing well today. Unfortuantly I wont be able to
visit little beasties as often as I used to, because I have moved to a different
area. However I would always reccomend little beasties to any animal enthusiast
in the cumbria area.

I love the russian hamsters they are really cute!!

Dear Mandy,
I wanted to thank you for the fantastic animal party you gave for Milo’s 7th
birthday.
We’ve tried a lot of different things over the years for both our children and this was certainly the most fun and interesting party ever!
All the children, as well as their accompanying adults, were really engaged by the
huge variety of animals you brought, by the opportunity to hold them and the
chance to show off their bravery and knowledge. I just can’t think of a better way
to spend a couple of hours with a room full of children.
It was great to learn about all your little beasties and to give the children an
experience they will remember for a long, long time.
Thank you again for your energy and enthusiasm. We’re already looking forward to
the next time!

Many thanks for a briliant Party, enjoyed by all even grandparents!! .. Mandy hand them hooked from begining to end (a good hour an a half) begining with the soft fluffy and ending with the best beasties as requested!!
Mandy engaged brilliantly with the children sharing her wealth of knowledge in a friendly and relaxed way that inspired confidence in the more timid.
Mandy had plannned it perfectly starting with the baby beasties then moving to the adults gaining the confidence of everyone.. Just brilliant and well thought out.. everyone handled all the animals and there where smiles all round.
She answered the floods of questions.... My daughter was VERY impressed as where
her friends, She would now like to be old enough to be a little beastie
helper... a great relaxed party... Would HIGHLY RECOMMENDED total value for
money and will definatly do again for Patrick (little brother 3yrs old) when he's
older.

I hired Mandy for two animal handling sessions at Brantwood Coniston to talk to the children about minibeasts and their habitats.
The sessions were brilliant, and the children really enjoyed experiencing the different animals. Especially when they were able to pose for photos with their favourite beast! Mandy speaks knowledgably and with enthusiasm, and is well prepared with resources and answers to questions. I hope to be able to use her fantastic skills again soon.

2008As part of our Pet Care Programme, we invited Little Beasties to visit the Rainbow Group in order to talk to the children about different pets and how best to care for them. Mandy arrived with a selection of small domestic pets, that ranged from a cheeky
little nibbly hamster to a royal python! The girls were delighted, and it was
the first time that many of them had encountered snakes, lizards and spiders so
close and in the flesh. We were delighted with the service provided by Little
Beasties, and would recommend Mandy as a fabulous resource with a real
understanding of her field and an excellent empathy with children. Thanks again

Many thanks for the fascinating talk you did for the kids (and teachers!) this morning. They have been buzzing about it all day and have been asking loads of questions about snakes and lizards - I expect you might be getting a few e-mails from them - sorry! Thanks again.

I bought my 2 russian dwarf hamsters from mandy. They were
both tamed before hand so it was quite easy for them to get to know me. Mandys
pet shop was the best pet shop i had ever been to, theres lots of different pets
to choose from, and its really good.x
